PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Design a poster inspired by a specific architectural era using only two colors. Research the era's styles and choose a famous architectural masterpiece as the focal point. Capture the essence of the era with limited colors, creating a visually engaging poster that communicates key information.
POSTER RESEARCH
I researched Art Deco architecture and gathered reference pictures to study the style and design elements. Further experimented with various color palettes and techniques to create a visually striking design that captures the essence of the era.
POSTER PROGRESS
After finalizing the line drawing, I experimented with the composition to ensure the illustration remained the focal point. The chosen architecture, the Bryant Park Hotel, inspired the intricate details in the line drawing, capturing the authenticity of the era. Using Illustrator, I carefully sketched the building's façade and architectural features, paying close attention to the intricate details.
POSTER DESIGN
The final poster successfully captured the era's essence and architecture with a line drawing of the Bryant Park Hotel, using two colours. Guided by reference pictures, the design process ensured a cohesive and visually appealing outcome.
